Thanksgiving in Boise

We flew to Boise for Thanksgiving. Lots of fun. Probably my last plane ride for quite some time!

Kory came with us. It was her first flight ... very exciting.

No photos from the Thanksgiving feast at Aunt Patti's - too busy eating! - but the next day we had a big football party at Uncle Scot and Aunt Sarah's. Go Broncos.

That Paige sure can color!

I watched her closely to see what I could learn.

Oh, and here's my favorite Grandma again! Oh how I love her.
And that Uncle Scot ... he plays the best games with me!
Look ... here's evidence that Grandma's as big a pushover as Mommy! I've got their number.
Here we visited Great Gran's house that was full of lights and fun, fun, fun.
Here's my audience ... watching me on the very BEST toy I found at Great Gran's ...
Yep, Grandpa helped me find it.
He's probably going to get us into trouble one day, that Grandpa. Mommy already warned me not to pick rhubarb for him unless it's clearly inside his garden!
Oh, and then I unwrapped gifts ... oh boy ... pjs for me and for my sisters ... and then a big red fire truck. Very cool.
And of course Aunt Annie had to get me something too. She spoils me rotten! Love the music snowball! Thanks Great Gran and Annie!
And do we have to go home already? Such a fun time we had in Boise! Can't wait until next time.

Snow, Boots and the Crazy Man Dance

OK, so I'm still in my pjs (thanks Great Grammie for the new digs!) but I'm ready to head out in Mommy's boots.

First real trek outside to really get my feet wet.

Wore me out ...
Later ... Aaaooooohhh! ... look what I found in Daddy's closet! Good stuff these cowboy boots!

Uh, yep ... still in those pjs (MORE new digs from Great Grammie! Thanks!) ...

Let's try these suckers out.

I was so impressed by my Crazy Man Dance that I pulled Mommy from the kitchen and Daddy from the couch to position them in just the right spot to play audience for me. Yep, crazy man I am. Ham bone too. Can't remember now what I was so excited about. Must've been good though.

Cold as Peppermint

Check out all the deer in our backyard. I think we counted 15 this morning!

Let's go get 'em!

OK, so maybe zero degree temps are a bit too cold for me.

But I sure know what to do back here in the kitchen. Today we have peppermint bark on the menu. First we have to crush the candy canes ...

Then we have to melt the almond bark ...
Stir it all together and, presto, my first batch of peppermint bark.

Oh ... and look what else I'm cooking up here at home. It's a plate full of my favorites!
Oh dear ... we need Aunt Patti and Grandpa to help Mommy battle this one. She's simply too tired and doesn't place a high priority on curing me of my binky addiction ... :)
... Besides, who could say no to this sweet face ... seriously.

Christmas Elf

Before we get started with the Christmas traditions, I'd better pump up Dino's tires.

OK, now ... on with the candy and cookie making. We'll start with the Christmas fudge ...

And then I'll help Mommy make the M&M pretzel treats ... here I am unwrapping the Hershey kisses (and throwing the wrappers in a container ... "Clean as you go," says Mommy).

As a chef, it's important to sample throughout the process. One for me ...

... and one for you ... :)
And voila ... one step closer to Christmas! Such a good helper I am.

All Dressed Up and Misc Monkey Business

Here is my handsome Daddy and me on our way to church.

Oh, and here's Mommy (and my sisters) too.

And another day when we were headed to Hartline to celebrate the life of one of our friends.

Mommy's tummy sure is getting big! ... especially since she has four more months to go until we welcome my sisters into the world.

Here I am working on the 'release' part of the throw. Watch out, Daddy!

And then there's the normal monkey business part of life here at home. Man, I'm a hoot.

Birthdays, Haircuts and Helping Daddy

It's getting cold now ... but that doesn't stop Mommy from "making" me work outside with Daddy. I'm such a good helper.

This is my first real haircut in Spokane. Look, they sat me right next to Daddy! Such a big boy I am.

OK, OK ... so I've still got the binky in my mouth ... what about it?

Voila ... handsome as ever.

This is Landon's killer volcano birthday cake. I had fun at his 5th bday party!

Ymmm ... chicken nuggets and fries ... chocolate cake and ice cream ... this is the good life!

Misc Days on the Ranch

Oh boy do I love to hang out with Daddy! I have a feeling we'll be spending a LOT of GUY time together when my sisters are born!

This is what we have been waking up to lately. Kinda cool.

Here I am practice, practice, practicing my new skill on a beautiful fall day.

And then I got a little distracted torturing poor Cody.

But then I take good care of him too.

Yours truly ... :)

King of cheese!
