Addison's Advancements

My sister "Ats" (nickname by Yours Truly) is really starting to move around this place. Here she is deep inside my fort.
Sometimes she can be a bit of a brute on her way to wherever she happens to be going. Excuse me, coming through.

Standing and cruising ... one step closer to freedom!
Sweet smiling Addison.

Mirror, mirror on the couch ... hey, who's that?

And there you have it. We'll try to save the first steps for when you come to visit, Grandma and Grandpa! Better hurry!

Exclusively Anna

That's right, Anna in the house!

Can you not see these two as old women sitting on a park bench somewhere people watching and talking about the latest gossip/news?

Crazy girl. Small muscle, big will! ;)

But check it out, both girls 'standing' here.

Anna seems to have that same analytical mind as her big brother. Fun to watch her at work.

Oh no, ANOTHER screaming general in town? [Not-so-] large and in charge!

"Now I know I've seen Caleb working this thing over. Something like this, I think."

Yes, good job Anna, good job. Clap, clap, clap.

All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go - Halloween 2011

OK, so we didn't make it out for trick-or-treating this year but we did catch half the town (3 people) at the Marlin post office the day after and made a killing. Nice, very nice.

Grandma sent us this silly monster to entertain us. It worked! These are for you Grandma.

Cowboy Caleb

We've had lots of fun in this house since I found Daddy's cowboy hat!
And then Mommy made me some killer (or not-so-killer) guns from cardboard and Rifleman magazine.

Good for a boy to have some cowboy instincts when trying to get a job done around here. Plenty of ingenuity required for tow jobs ... ... or stacking the International for dump runs ...

... or building super tents in the living room ... Look, even wrangled Daddy inside my tent to read to me!

And then there's the softer side of them wild west cowboys. Won't reveal this to my enemies ... but for now, I think my sisters are safe to call 'friend' rather than 'foe'. Time will tell. ;)

Early Sister Interaction

Starting to see some personality here, ya think? Scrappy little Anna looks so sweet ... but turns out she is quite the domineering baby sister.

And then there's my laid back sister, Addison, who is generally happy as long as she's eating something. Mama's girl? Did you catch that subtle eyebrow raise accompanied by the 'victory growl'? Hilarious!

Anna's thieving antics in action again. Silly sister.

Silly Kid Shots

Here's little Anna's new look. ;)

And her silly antics. I think she's going to join me in my family 'ham bone' role.
Addison's laughing anyway ...
She brings plenty of laughs in her own right too!

Grandma's baby girl.

Speaking of ham bones, I got ahold of some 'dancing shoes' and asked Grandma to dance with me in the kitchen. This dip is my favorite move.

Grandma playing in the tent. Oh the things she will do for me!

Here are a few of Addison's new tricks. Steep learning curve from here on out!

Sometimes I like to give her a few pointers.

Sweet dolly tub time. Anna loves to splash, splash, splash!

Grandpa's Girls

No question about it, Grandpa loves his girls.
And Addison (especially) is a little smitten with him too!

Oh wait, turns out she's just perfecting the art of eating (notice the mouth mimic). Now that's a mama's girl!

After Grandpa finished his clean up project in the shed, he decided to have fun with dirt. He loves that ... and we love the results in the form of garden and flower beds! His sweet girls aren't too far away ... Yeah, I think Grandpa likes it here on the ranch.
