Wooden Spoons

I seem to be drawn to wooden spoons for some crazy reason. Mommy says to ask Uncle Pete about his experience with wooden spoons. Grandma, Mommy thinks you know something about this too?

... Can someone tell me why Mommy went crazy checking out so many new books from the library? Grandma? Uncle Pete?
